Tour operators commonly arrange a quick passenger drop-off on Old Town Front Street at 6th Street, then reposition the bus to the Mercedes Street surface lot near the Old Town Parking Structure (28690 Mercedes St) for staging — the structure itself does not accommodate oversized vehicles.

The park offers fishing (bass, catfish, and trout), 264 campsites, group picnic areas, equestrian facilities, and miles of hiking trails. Swimming and non-motorized watercraft are not permitted on the reservoir.
The large paved day-use parking lot near the entrance station includes pull-through spaces along the outer perimeter that handle motorcoaches and full-size charter buses. Buses pay the standard day-use fee at the entrance booth on Warren Road. Group picnic area reservations are available through the park office — call ahead on tournament and holiday weekends when the lot fills early.
Temecula Valley Wine Country
Temecula Valley Wine Country (Rancho California Rd corridor, Temecula, CA 92591) is one of Southern California's premier wine destinations, with more than 100 wineries spread across a designated American Viticultural Area approximately 12 to 15 miles south of Murrieta via I-15 S to Rancho California Rd. Lake Elsinore Diamond
